Fundamentally, search is how people get information. There are really two types of searches: research and commerce.

Currently Generative AI is really well versed in the "research" category. Effectively, limited research used to take on average about 7 searches on Google. Tools like ChatGPT are performing all of these for you in one prompt now. The challenge is how these LLM tools cite sources is still very fluid. Additionally, ad platforms for LLMs haven't launched (yet).

Search marketing strategies need to heavily consider these when it comes to producing content. Paid search isn't *that* impacted as of now. We have specific content strategies that we recommend when it comes to content marketing investments. These strategies, we anticipate, will provide your brand with the most amount of equity when it comes to where such large language models get their information from, and how they cite their sources.

Data aggregation at the correct scope within campaigns, first party data augmentation for conversion tracking, CRMs and Customer Data Platforms (CDP) for training Google on who your best customers are.
