Location: Hybrid, Roseville, CA or Frisco, TX, with client travel · Type: Full-time · Reports to: Chief Architect / Head of Delivery

The Enterprise Architect sets the technology direction for our clients' operations. What you'll do

  • Assess current-state application, data, integration and infrastructure landscapes, and define a pragmatic target state and roadmap.
  • Lead the architecture workstream of AI Readiness Assessments, producing gap analyses and prioritized roadmaps leadership can act on.
  • Serve as fractional Chief Architect for clients through ERP replacements, security uplifts and digital transformation programs.
  • Lead the technology portion of M&A technical due diligence: risk-score the target's systems and build integration cost models.
  • Design post-acquisition integration plans for systems, data and governance, and guide execution with the integration program office.
  • Establish architecture principles, standards and governance (including AI and data governance) that clients can sustain.
  • Evaluate and recommend platforms (ERP, CRM, field-service, analytics, cloud) as an independent advisor, not a reseller.
  • Mentor Solutions and Data Architects and support sales with scoping, estimates and proposals.

What you'll bring

  • 10+ years in technology, with 5+ years in enterprise or senior architecture roles.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP and operational systems in manufacturing, logistics, construction, energy or field services.
  • Strong command of integration patterns, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP) and modern data architecture.
  • Experience building multi-year roadmaps and business cases for executives and boards.
  • Ability to explain complex trade-offs in plain language to owners and operators.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites, including plant floors and job sites.

Nice to have

  • TOGAF or similar architecture certification.
  • M&A due diligence or post-merger integration experience.
  • Experience with AI/ML adoption, data governance or security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Consulting or fractional leadership background.
